The Beastlands is ony accessible from the Astral Plane. I mapped it with an Adept tri-class and although I found it quite safe in places (not many aggressive mobs) almost all of the mobs gained me over 100k xp per kill, or capped it. If something looks tough in this zone it is tough. There are two main parts to the map: the ground and In the Clouds. In both sections there are 'mini-mazes' that are largely connected but have shortcuts, e.g. 1 1 | | -Es-Es-1 | | Es-E1-1 | | 1In this example leaving any of the Endless Sea (Es) rooms by an exit marked with a '1' ill take you to the Endless Sea room marked E1. 've used this shorthand in the Vast desert (Vd), Beastlands (Bl), the Plains (Pl), the Endless Sea and Above the Clouds (Ac). In each case moving through an exit marked with a number will take you to the room marked with that number in that area. There are a few things to watch out for in this zone. On the Shore (Sh) you'll find a magical jar. Whatever you do: DON'T OPEN IT. It will shatter, releasing Kostchtchie the Demon Lord from aeons of imprisonment - and he won't be kind to his rescuer! Stopmping around the Vast Desert is a Tyrannosaurus Rex, he's HUGE and will try to eat you whole if he does you'll lose all your equipment... To the west of the Volcanic Cavern (Vc) in teh mountains is a hidden entrance to the Lair of the Red Wyrm. You can't spy into it but I'm sure you can guess what's in there. The Dragon has a small silver key for it's hidden chest full of gold. Lastly if you venture south or east of the Dark Lair (Dl), you'll be dragged into it by a Giant Spider, poisoned and attacked. If you don't succumb to the poison you'll eventually be able to escape her grip and attack her. All of the mobs in this zone are fairly tough but one thing to keep in mind is that almost all of them with try to dispel you, order their followers to attack you and then try to disintegrate you. I survived this a number of times but I wouldn't recommend it for the fainthearted... The best way to get to this zone is through the scintilating emerald green pool in the Astral Plane.
